SeeSay Privacy Policy

The SeeSay Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information when you use SeeSay's services, including information provided when you use SeeSay.

Personal information

* You need a SeeSay Account to access SeeSay. SeeSay asks for some personal information when you create a SeeSay Account, including your email address and a password, which is used to protect your account from unauthorized access.

* SeeSay stores, processes and maintains your messages, comments, contact lists and other data related to your account in order to provide the service to you.

* When you use SeeSay, SeeSay's servers automatically record certain information about your use of SeeSay. Similar to other web services, SeeSay records information such as account activity (including storage usage, number of log-ins), data displayed or clicked on (including UI elements, ads, links); and other log information (including browser type, IP-address, date and time of access, cookie ID, and referrer URL).

Uses

* SeeSay maintains and processes your SeeSay account and its contents to provide the SeeSay service to you and to improve our services. The SeeSay service includes relevant advertising and related links based on the IP address, content of messages and other information related to your use of SeeSay.

* SeeSay's computers process the information in your messages for various purposes, including formatting and displaying the information to you, delivering advertisements and related links, preventing unsolicited bulk email (spam), backing up your messages, and other purposes relating to offering you SeeSay.

* SeeSay may send you information related to your SeeSay account or other SeeSay services.

Attachments in emails are public

* All attachments in emails that you receive or send are public. This is regardless of whether you share them or not. SeeSay saves a copy of the attached document online and adds a short URL to the online copy in the email body. The attachments can be read or seen by anyone who knows the short URL including everyone who receives that email whether directly from you or when your email gets forwarded by others. The attachments can also be seen by others when the short URLs get included in the popular list and RSS feeds.

Images in emails are public

* All embedded images in emails that you receive or send are public. This is regardless of whether you share them or not. SeeSay saves a copy of the embedded image online and replaces the image in the message with a HTML image tag pointing to the saved version. The images can be seen by anyone who knows the short URL including everyone who receives that email whether directly from you or when your email gets forwarded by others. They can also be seen by others when the short URLs to the images get included in the popular list and RSS feeds.

Links in emails are public

* Links are public by their nature. SeeSay replaces all links in all emails (send and received) with short URLs. These links may get included in popular lists and RSS feeds. Further links in emails you send are placed in your profile.

* When you send a message with a link, attachment or an image, the email subject may be posted to third party websites like FaceBook or Twitter based on your preferences.

Information sharing and onward transfer

* When you send a message, SeeSay includes information such as your name that you registered with and your login ID, as part of the message.

* We do not sell, rent or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties except in the limited circumstances described in the SeeSay Privacy Policy, such as when we believe we are required to do so by law.
